Interview with Malua

Hello friends of bass music. In the next two months, one of the most legendary hard dance music stamps will arrive for the first time to our country to celebrate its 15 year history.

We are talking about Scantraxx Recordz and today we have the privilege of talking to the only woman to be part of the line-up to perform at the Movistar Arena: Malu Mol, better known as Malua.

  • Hi Malu. Congratulations on your first time in Chile! How are you?

Thank you so much! I am very excited to visit and play in Chile. I've heard it's the best audience in the world and I can not wait to check.

  • What he motivated you to become a dj and prompted you to start producing hardstyle?

The moment of truth that I decided to become a dj was during Hard with Style 2012 at the Ziggo Dome. That night was very special and the next day I called my best friend to tell him about this new goal. She laughed very much indeed haha.

  • It was three years of hard work and finally in 2015 you joined the family of Scantraxx. How did you take this leap in your career?

I felt very honored that the same Dov (The Prophet) asked me to join the family of Scantraxx. This was a huge milestone in my career. From that moment began to happen a lot of great things like shots made and the events in which I played.

  • Do you feel comfortable in this label? Is there an environment of teamwork and cooperation?

Yes, we have a very good and very close team, like my agency bookings Make You Dance. As I mentioned before, I work with another producer. Together we make the tracks and we have an excellent relationship, which helps us create a very good atmosphere in the productions.

  • Early last year you have been on a remix of Green Stuff, which reached explosive popularity. Where did the idea of creating this rawstyle version?

I've always loved this track. And what I wanted was to give a contemporary air and a tough kick. The theme was a bomb and overwhelming public reaction. I love touching here yet!

  • Today video recordings have become an important means of communication How about your vlog Malua Madness? Have you had good reception from the public?

I started vloggear to generate greater interaction with the public and give them a look behind the scenes. I love talking, joking, being in the studio, playing my events, interviewing colleagues and just have fun, all good ingredients for my vlog.

  • Mexico is one of the countries with the most Spanish-speaking harders. And coincidentally, the you spent your last vacation there. What can you tell us about your experience in this country?

Mexico is an incredibly beautiful country. I visited Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and several cenotes. I love nature, people, food and climate, so it was a great vacation. I hope to be back soon, perhaps for a booking!

  • In the episode in Mexico, it was funny when asked "Silver or Lead?". Here in Chile we have a lot of wines (and we know that you like as well). So we must ask: White or red? LOL.

To me I used to like the dry white wine. But I must say I really like the Chilean red wine! LOL.

  • If you do an episode of "Malua Madness" in our country, what would you do or see here?

By his post I will make a vlog in Chile! I would like to see Santiago, mountains, talking to people and maybe go near Santiago. If you have any suggestions, please díganmela!

  • In a male-dominated music industry, it is very difficult for women to develop a career and be successful. How did you deal with discrimination and what can advise girls who are just starting in this world?

I had to overcome several negative situations. But I have to say that being consistent and believe in yourself help you improve your position in the scene. So my advice is: If you think you have what you need then go for it. And do not let anyone tell you you can not do.

  • We all have goals, so we would like to know yours. What are your projections in the short and medium term? Any project which you want to talk?

I'm working on more solo projects a collab with "The Pitcher" and will record a video clip soon.

  • What are your expectations for 15 years Scantraxx in our country and what you expect the Chilean public?

I do not know where to begin to explain how excited I am. As I said, I've heard that this is the best audience. It has happened before that I have been surprised in some presentations, literally shaking on stage, so I can not wait to get this time. I will enjoy and cherish every moment.

  • Finally, a few words your fans in Chile ?.

Chilenos! I am more than ready to take the plane to Santiago and I am very excited to meet you all. Please feel free to take a picture or just talk to me. I love hearing about your scene and your country. Let's make this night one to remember!
